From Foster Care to Combat Medic

One young man came to Treutlen House at age nine and stayed until he was nineteen. After graduating high school, he joined the Army as a combat medic, serving in South Korea and beyond. Today he continues to serve in the Army Reserves while attending college in South Florida.

Building a Skilled Trade Career

Another graduate entered the workforce immediately after high school, beginning in food service at the local school system before moving on to an electrical apprenticeship. His company is now paying for him to attend school and become a certified electrician.

A third alumnus graduated high school with honors, wrestled varsity, and competed at state level. Today, he works at the ports, owns his own home, and has built a stable life with a long-term partner.
